After big names like Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra, Janhvi Kapoor has recently made headlines for exiting Dharma Productions’ ‘Cornerstone’ agency to join ‘Collective Artist Network’. This frequent shifting of talent representation has raised eyebrows, and now filmmaker Karan Johar has come forward to explain the psychology behind this trend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karan Johar attributes this restlessness to the overwhelming pressure of social media and the constant public scrutiny that Gen-Z actors face. According to him, the fear of being “cancelled” or becoming irrelevant drives actors to seek immediate results, leading them to constantly look for “better” PR and management teams. He compared the industry to a game of “passing the parcel,” where actors hop from one agency to another in search of a magic formula for success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Terming talent management as a “thankless job,” Karan lamented the lack of long-term loyalty in today’s glamorous world. He explained that deep-seated insecurity and the pressure to meet unrealistic expectations within short timeframes are the primary triggers for these changes.
