The nightmare of speeding heavy vehicles returned to the streets of Salt Lake late Friday night, claiming the life of a 30-year-old private firm employee. The victim, identified as Rimpa Dhara, a resident of Howrah, met with a fatal accident while returning home from work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident occurred near the Wipro Bridge in Salt Lake\u2019s Sector V area. Rimpa had booked an Uber bike to commute to her home in Howrah after finishing her shift. As the bike descended from the Wipro Bridge near Nicco Park, a speeding dumper rammed into the two-wheeler from behind. Rimpa was thrown onto the road and sustained critical injuries. The Bidhannagar Police have seized the dumper and detained the driver for interrogation.
