“Why Couldn’t I Make This?” Emotional Ram Gopal Varma Regrets After Watching Dhurandhar 2

As Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar 2’ shatters global records by crossing ₹700 crore in just 4 days, veteran filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) has shared an emotional and explosive review. Varma, known for his raw style in films like ‘Satya’, admitted that Aditya Dhar has surpassed all benchmarks set in the last 30 years of Bollywood.
Taking to X, RGV wrote, “Calling Dhurandhar 2 just a ‘film’ is an insult. It’s a reset button for Indian cinema. It makes classics like Sholay look like TV serials.” He expressed deep regret and admiration, stating that the film’s realistic portrayal of an Indian spy who bleeds and feels pain has effectively “killed” the traditional invincible Bollywood hero. Varma even suggested that global legends like Christopher Nolan should witness this masterpiece. His emotional outburst has gone viral, further fueling the craze for the ₹750 crore mega-spy thriller.
