The discovery was made late Saturday when officers intercepted a vehicle for inspection. Upon failing to provide valid documentation for the massive sum of money, the individual carrying the cash was immediately taken into custody.

The seizure comes at a time when security has been tightened across the city with intensive patrolling and surveillance. According to police sources, the origin and destination of the money remain suspicious.
