Districts like Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas, East Midnapore, and Jhargram are on high alert for heavy downpours. The sudden shift in weather is expected to bring some relief from the heat but may cause localized flooding in low-lying areas.

North Bengal Forecast: North Bengal districts including Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, and Alipurduar are also expected to witness moderate to heavy showers. Residents and tourists in hilly terrains have been advised to stay cautious due to reduced visibility and slippery roads caused by the persistent rain.
