“We are Ahead in the Race of Development,” Says Indas TMC Candidate During Train Outreach

With less than a month to go for the high-stakes Assembly elections, candidates are leaving no stone unturned to reach out to every last voter. In Bankura’s Indas, TMC candidate Shyamali Roy Bagdi took a creative leap on Friday by boarding a local train to carry out her campaign. Stepping away from traditional rallies, she mingled with daily commuters to spread the message of the state government’s development.

Starting from Kumrul station, the candidate engaged in deep conversations with passengers, often seen holding children and listening to the grievances of common people. In a candid moment, she was spotted buying and eating ‘Muri’ (puffed rice) from a train hawker, emphasizing her “daughter of the soil” image. She later deboarded at Shampur station after completing her rounds.

Launching a scathing attack on the sitting BJP MLA Nirmal Kumar Dhara, Shyamali alleged that no developmental work was done in Indas over the last five years. “My priority is to upgrade the local primary health center into a super-specialty hospital and tackle river erosion,” she promised. Confident of her victory, she asserted that the TMC’s “development chariot” is already miles ahead of the opposition.
