War in Middle East Hits Bengal’s Kitchen! Mamata Slams Center Over LPG Shortage; Calls Emergency Meet
The escalating conflict in the Middle East has sent shockwaves across the globe, and its direct impact is now being felt in the kitchens of West Bengal. With a severe shortage of LPG (cooking gas) cylinders and skyrocketing prices across the country, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has launched a scathing attack on the Central Government. To address the looming crisis, the CM has called for an urgent high-level meeting at Nabanna today.
Sources indicate that the disruption in the international supply chain has led to a major crunch in domestic gas distribution. Slamming the center, Mamata Banerjee stated, “The Union Government has failed to manage the essential supplies. While they are busy with international diplomacy, the common man is struggling to light their stove.” The Chief Minister has summoned representatives from the food department, disaster management, and LPG distributor associations to find an immediate solution.
The state government is particularly concerned about the possibility of black marketing and hoarding under the guise of the global crisis. Instructions have been issued to the police and local administrations to keep a strict vigil on distributors. While the Center claims the situation is being monitored, Mamata’s proactive stance aims to ensure that the citizens of Bengal do not suffer. As the LPG crisis becomes a new flashpoint between the State and the Center, all eyes are on Nabanna for a definitive roadmap to tackle the shortage.
