UP Budget 2026: Jobs Galore! 19,000 Police Recruitments and Free Coaching for 23,000 Students Announced

In the blockbuster UP Budget 2026, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna has focused heavily on youth empowerment and digital education. Highlighting the government’s commitment to employment, the Minister announced 19,000 new recruitments in the Police Department and confirmed the completion of 8,966 appointments in government secondary schools. Since 2017, the state has achieved a milestone by recruiting over 2.19 lakh personnel in the police force alone.
The budget also brings a tech revolution to the classroom. With an allocation of ₹225 crore, the ‘UP AI Mission’ is set to launch, including the establishment of AI labs across 49 ITIs and 251 smart classrooms in government colleges. Over 23,000 students are currently receiving free coaching and skill training under various state schemes. Furthermore, the distribution of nearly 5 million tablets and smartphones under the Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme continues to bridge the digital divide. A massive 88% hike in the vocational education budget underscores the government’s strategy to turn Uttar Pradesh into a hub for skilled professionals and industrial investment.
