While the mysterious death of actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee continues to haunt the headlines, a fresh tragedy has struck the seaside resort of Tajpur. Two doctors from Sodepur, identified as Kuntal Chakraborty and Shailaja Bhardwaj, drowned in the sea under tragic circumstances. Their bodies were spotted floating near the Biswa Bangla Gate by tourists and local vendors on Wednesday night.

According to police sources, the duo had arrived in Tajpur two days ago for a vacation. It is suspected that they ventured into the water late at night while spending time on the shore and were swept away by high tides. Since it was dark and the beach was deserted at that hour, the incident went unnoticed until Thursday morning when the Mandarmani Coastal Police recovered the bodies.

The victims were rushed to Balisai Hospital, where they were declared brought dead. The bodies have now been sent to Kanthi Sub-divisional Hospital for post-mortem. While preliminary findings suggest accidental drowning, the police are exploring all angles and awaiting the forensic report before making an official statement. The families of the deceased have been informed.
