In a heartbreaking incident in Haveri, Karnataka, a 16-year-old girl committed suicide allegedly due to exam pressure and her parents’ constant reminders to study. The deceased, Ningamma Balannavar, was a student of Class 10 preparing for the upcoming SSLC examinations.

According to reports, her parents had advised her to avoid wasting time and focus on her studies as the final exams were approaching. Feeling overwhelmed by the repeated pressure, Ningamma consumed poison at her home in Marol village. Although she was rushed to KIMS Hospital in Hubballi for advanced treatment, she failed to respond to the medical intervention and passed away. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting the fragile mental health of students during exam seasons.
