TMC Set for a Massive Defeat in Sundarbans! Suvendu Slams ‘100 Crore Extortion’ involving Special Branch Officer

The political landscape of South 24 Parganas is witnessing a massive upheaval as Leader of Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari, predicted a complete washout for the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the Sundarbans region. Addressing a charged rally in Sagar, following a violent incident where a BJP leader was allegedly shot, Adhikari launched a scathing attack on the Mamata Banerjee-led government and the state’s police machinery.

Suvendu’s most explosive allegation was directed at the Special Branch of the West Bengal Police. He explicitly named official Manoranjan Mondal, claiming, “His bosses have used him to collect no less than 100 crore rupees from various sources.” He accused a section of the police force of acting as a “fund-raising wing” for the ruling party instead of maintaining law and order. According to Suvendu, the synergy between corrupt officials and political leaders is destroying the democratic fabric of the state.

Referring to the shooting incident in Sagar, Adhikari warned that the public’s patience is wearing thin. He asserted that the TMC would lose numerous seats in the Sundarbans as people are fed up with violence and institutionalized corruption. “The accounts of those police officers who are harassing BJP workers will be settled,” he added. With these high-voltage allegations, the political battle for the Sundarbans has intensified, putting both the administration and the ruling party on the defensive ahead of the upcoming electoral challenges.
