The election affidavit of West Bengal’s Leader of Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari, filed on March 30, 2026, has brought his financial growth into the spotlight. According to the 2026 affidavit, Suvendu’s annual income surged to ₹17.38 lakh in 2024-25, up from ₹8.13 lakh in 2020-21. However, his movable assets have plummeted from ₹59.31 lakh in 2021 to just ₹24.57 lakh in 2026. Similarly, the valuation of his immovable assets, including flats and land, dropped from ₹61.30 lakh to approximately ₹46.21 lakh during the same period.
