Suvendu Adhikari’s Asset Mystery! Massive Shift in Net Worth Revealed in 2026 Poll Affidavit

The election affidavit of West Bengal’s Leader of Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari, filed on March 30, 2026, has brought his financial growth into the spotlight. As he prepares to defend his Nandigram seat, the documents reveal a curious trend: while his annual income has more than doubled in the last five years, his total declared assets have seen a significant decline.

According to the 2026 affidavit, Suvendu’s annual income surged to ₹17.38 lakh in 2024-25, up from ₹8.13 lakh in 2020-21. However, his movable assets have plummeted from ₹59.31 lakh in 2021 to just ₹24.57 lakh in 2026. Similarly, the valuation of his immovable assets, including flats and land, dropped from ₹61.30 lakh to approximately ₹46.21 lakh during the same period.

The BJP leader, who currently faces 25 criminal cases—mostly filed after his 2020 defection from the TMC—has declared all his holdings to the Election Commission. The decrease in his asset valuation has raised eyebrows in political circles, with the ruling TMC questioning the discrepancy, while Adhikari’s supporters claim it reflects his clean and transparent public life. As the high-stakes battle for Bengal unfolds, Suvendu’s financial transparency remains a hot topic for debate among voters and rivals alike.
