“Stop Illegal Voter Entries!” Mamata Banerjee Writes to CEC Over Massive List Rigging Claims

In a major move ahead of the state polls, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee has written a scathing letter to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar. Using her party’s official letterhead, Mamata alleged a deep-rooted conspiracy to infiltrate West Bengal’s voter list with residents from other states, calling it a blatant violation of democratic rights.

Addressing a rally in Chandrakona on Tuesday, Mamata claimed that the BJP has been submitting thousands of ‘Form 6’ applications across various districts to include outsiders. She specifically alleged that 30,000 names from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana were submitted just this Monday. Mamata highlighted that similar trends were observed during elections in Delhi, Maharashtra, and Haryana. Terming this as “illegal and unconstitutional,” she urged the Election Commission to safeguard its integrity as a constitutional body and ensure that non-residents do not interfere in the state’s mandate.
