Team India captain Rohit Sharma, who said goodbye to this format after winning the T20 World Cup last year, retired from Test cricket on May 7. From now on, Rohit Sharma will be seen playing only ODI cricket.

After Rohit Sharma, Team India’s legendary batsman Virat Kohli also said goodbye to Test cricket on May 12. His retirement came as a shock to everyone before the England tour. Virat had announced his retirement after the T20 World Cup. Therefore, Virat will now play only ODI matches.

Sri Lanka’s legendary all-rounder Angelo Mathews announced his retirement from Test cricket on May 23. Mathews played 118 Tests for Sri Lanka. In this, he scored 8167 runs. This includes 16 centuries and 45 half-centuries.

Australian explosive all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who scored a double century in ODIs, retired from ODI cricket on June 2. He will now play only in the T20 format. In the 2023 ODI World Cup, he scored a double century against Bangladesh and led the team to a stunning victory.

On June 2, South Africa’s explosive wicketkeeper-batsman Heinrich Klaasen also announced his retirement from international cricket. His decision has shocked everyone. Klaasen has played 4 Tests, 60 ODIs and 58 T20 matches for South Africa.
