Mullanpur, 20 April 2025: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 7 wickets in the 37th match of IPL 2025. In this high-voltage match played at Maharaja Yadavendra Singh Stadium in Mullanpur, RCB avenged the defeat of last season. Batting first, Punjab scored 157 runs in 20 overs, in which only Prabhsimran Singh (33) and Shashank Singh (28) could hold on to some extent. For RCB, Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma bowled brilliantly and took 2-2 wickets.

Chasing the target, Bangalore won by losing 3 wickets in 18.5 overs. Virat Kohli (54) and Devdutt Padikkal (61*) smashed the Punjab bowlers. “Our bowling was amazing today, and we kept our composure with the bat,” Kohli said after the match. This is RCB’s fifth win of the season, taking them to third place in the points table. On the other hand, this is Punjab’s third consecutive loss, and captain Shikhar Dhawan expressed disappointment, saying, “We have to take more responsibility in batting.” This win further strengthens RCB’s path to the playoffs.
