‘SP has hired Hitmen to Kill me!’ Expelled TMC MLA Humayun Kabir Makes Explosive Allegations Against Mamata Gov’t

The political temperature in Murshidabad has reached a boiling point following sensational allegations by expelled TMC MLA and JUP Chairman Humayun Kabir. In a press conference held on Tuesday evening, Kabir accused the District Superintendent of Police (SP) of hiring two contract killers to assassinate him. He claimed that the police are plotting a staged car accident to eliminate him as they cannot counter him politically.
Launching a scathing attack on CM Mamata Banerjee, Kabir alleged that the TMC supremo is running her party using crores of rupees extorted from Murshidabad through the police administration. “I will show the SP and the district administration their place after February 28,” Kabir warned. He also threatened to file formal complaints with central investigative agencies against the OCs of Lalgola and Kandi police stations, backed by documentary evidence.
The situation remains tense as Kabir has called for a massive protest on Wednesday, coinciding with the symbolic start of Babri Masjid’s construction work. He vowed to surround the Beldanga police station with one lakh followers and threatened to “dismantle the station brick by brick.” Political analysts suggest that Kabir’s aggressive stance is a direct challenge to the TMC’s minority vote bank, making him a formidable obstacle for the ruling party in the district ahead of the upcoming elections.
