“So Wicked, They Will Loot Everything!” Mamata Banerjee Slams BJP Over ‘Chargesheet’ and Voter List Row

With the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections drawing closer, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has launched a scathing attack on the BJP, responding to the ‘chargesheet’ recently released by Union Home Minister Amit Shah against her government. During a rally on Tuesday, a fiery Mamata labeled the BJP as “wicked” and accused the party of hypocrisy, stating that those who have “plundered the country” have no right to question the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
Directly targeting the saffron camp, Banerjee said, “They are so wicked that they will make everyone stand in long queues while they loot everything behind the scenes. You stood in lines during demonetization, and now they are playing a new game with Form-6.” She alleged that the BJP is attempting to manipulate the electoral rolls to disenfranchise genuine voters, a tactic she described as “Votebandi.”
Responding to the corruption allegations mentioned in the BJP’s chargesheet, the TMC supremo countered by highlighting the central government’s withholding of state funds. She claimed that while the Center collects GST from Bengal, it refuses to release funds for the MGNREGA and housing schemes. “Before issuing a chargesheet against TMC, look at your own face in the mirror,” she remarked. Her aggressive stance signals that the 2026 battle will be fought intensely on the issues of federalism, economic rights, and democratic integrity.
