‘Salman Used to Practice Skating Holding My Cycle,’ Childhood Friend Raju Shrestha Reveals Unheard Stories

He is a global icon today, but there was a time when Salman Khan was just an ordinary teenager from Bandra, often overshadowed by the then-popular child star, Raju Shrestha, famously known as ‘Master Raju.’ In a recent candid interview, Raju opened up about his deep-rooted friendship with Salman, describing him as a man who has always been driven by his heart rather than cold calculations.

Recalling their early days in Bandra, Raju shared, “Before his debut in ‘Patthar Ke Phool,’ Salman used to practice skating by holding the carrier of my bicycle. There were days when people would point at us and say, ‘Look, there’s Master Raju, and there’s some boy standing next to him.’ He had no identity back then.” Raju added emotionally, “We have bathed together naked and talked about everything under the sun. Salman was never a schemer; he was always a fun-loving person who never thought twice before making friends.”

Addressing Salman’s frequent brushes with controversy, Raju offered a unique perspective. He claimed that Salman operates on raw emotion. “Salman has no control over his feelings. Whether it was shouting outside someone’s house or creating a scene in front of an ex-girlfriend’s residence, he acted out of pure impulse. He is a wonderful human being, but when he gets emotional, he loses all self-control.”

Their childhood bond led Salman to offer Raju roles in films like ‘Baaghi’ and ‘Chal Mere Bhai’ later in their careers. Currently, Salman Khan is busy filming his next mega-project, ‘Battle of Galwan.’ Raju Shrestha’s honest revelations once again highlight the human side of the superstar that often remains hidden behind the glitz and glamour.
