In a heartwarming show of solidarity, Bollywood has come together to rescue veteran comedian Rajpal Yadav, who has been behind bars since February 5 over an unpaid debt of nearly ₹9 crore. The legal trouble dates back to his 2010 directorial debut ‘Ata Pata Laapata’, which incurred heavy losses, eventually leading to a mountain of interest and principal arrears.

Rajpal’s manager, Goldie, recently shared that megastars like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Sonu Sood have personally stepped in to provide support. Director David Dhawan and actor Varun Dhawan are also among those who reached out during this crisis. “The way the industry has stood by him like a rock is truly commendable,” Goldie remarked.

The assistance isn’t just moral but financial too. Music director Rao Inderjeet Yadav has pledged ₹1.11 crore, while political figure Tej Pratap Yadav and actor KRK have promised ₹11 lakh and ₹10 lakh respectively. With these collective efforts, the daunting ₹9 crore figure seems manageable. If everything goes as planned, Rajpal Yadav is expected to secure bail tomorrow, February 12.
