Fear and tension gripped the Dhuliyan area of Murshidabad this Sunday following the recovery of a bag filled with live bombs. The explosives were found in the Hijaltala Mathpara area under the Samserganj Police Station limits. According to local reports, residents spotted a suspicious abandoned bag in an open field and immediately alerted the authorities after sensing danger.

A large contingent from the Samserganj Police Station rushed to the spot and cordoned off the entire area to ensure public safety. Preliminary police reports confirmed that the bag contained several powerful crude bombs. The bomb disposal squad has been summoned to defuse the explosives safely. Investigating officers are currently looking into the origins of the bag and whether it was part of a larger plan to incite violence during the upcoming 2026 Assembly Elections.

This incident is the latest in a series of bomb recoveries reported from Shamsherganj, Suti, and Farakka over the past few days.
