“Pabitra Kar is a Cobra!”—Suvendu Adhikari Launches a Scathing Attack on TMC Candidate in Nandigram

The political battle for Nandigram has taken a personal turn as Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari compared the TMC candidate and his former protege, Pabitra Kar, to a “Gokhra Sap” (Cobra). As the 2026 Assembly Elections approach, this verbal spat has electrified the atmosphere in one of Bengal’s most sensitive constituencies.

Suvendu’s Provocative Remark: During a campaign rally, Suvendu Adhikari unleashed a verbal volley, saying, “There are people whom I nurtured and taught the basics of politics. Today, they are acting like cobras coming out of their holes to bite the hand that fed them. But the people of Nandigram know exactly how to handle such venomous snakes.” He suggested that TMC’s choice of candidate reflects their desperation.

Pabitra Kar’s Fierce Response: Undeterred by the insult, Pabitra Kar responded with equal vigor. “Suvendu is terrified because he knows his ground is slipping away. If I am a cobra, my venom is reserved for ending his empire of corruption. He is using such foul language because he has lost his mental balance after seeing the public support for TMC,” Kar stated.

The face-off between Suvendu and his former loyalist is set to be the centerpiece of the 2026 election, with local sentiments divided between the established leader and the rising challenger.
