A study by NIO Hospital in Pune has found that 46% of the youth working in the IT sector are suffering from eye problems due to constant staring at the computer screen.

This study by NIO, conducted on 3,000 patients in the last six months, has found that working for long hours on the computer screen is causing various eye problems. Out of these, 46% of IT workers, mainly between the ages of 25 and 56, had dry eye disease, which we call CVS or Computer Vision Syndrome.

According to the study, 89% of the patients required eye drops. They were advised to follow the 20-20-20 rule. That is, every 20 minutes, you should take a break for 20 seconds, look at something 20 feet away, and then look back at the screen. Doctors have also urged people to reduce their use of mobile phones, TVs, computers, and tablets.
