GM Diet: Unique plan to lose weight in 7 days, know how to get benefits

New Delhi: If you want to lose weight quickly and safely, then GM diet can be a popular option for you. This 7-day diet, introduced by General Motors for its employees in 1985, helps in rapid weight loss and detox the body. Experts say that this plan increases metabolism through low calories and nutritious foods. Nutritionist Dr. Reema Saxena said, “GM diet is an effective way to lose weight in a balanced and disciplined way, provided it is followed correctly.”

On the first day, only fruits (except bananas), raw or boiled vegetables on the second day, and a mixture of both are eaten on the third day. The fourth day is banana and milk, the fifth day is brown rice, tomatoes and protein, the sixth day is rice and vegetables, and the seventh day focuses on fruits, juice and rice. It is important to drink 8-12 glasses of water daily. Shalini Mehra, a housewife from Delhi, said, “I lost 4 kg in 7 days. It was easy and energising.” However, experts warn that it should not be followed for a long time and people with health problems should consult a doctor first. This diet is suitable for short-term goals.
