In the gold smuggling case, the CBI has intensified its investigation against Kannada actress Ranya Rao. The central investigative agency now has her wedding ceremony under scrutiny! Investigators are closely examining the guest list from Ranya’s wedding. Not only that, but footage of the wedding is also reportedly under the microscope of the CBI.

According to investigative sources, in the ongoing probe into the gold smuggling case, the CBI has conducted raids at the actress’s residence, the Karnataka State Industrial Area Development Board’s office, and the hotel where her wedding took place.

A list of attendees at the actress’s wedding has been requested. Additionally, it has been reported that the wedding footage has also been collected. Investigators are looking into what gifts the actress received at her wedding. They are identifying which guests gave expensive presents to the actress. According to sources, the step taken by the CBI aims to verify whether any individuals on the guest list are linked to this gold smuggling case. Alongside this, investigators are also verifying information regarding the land allocation approval given to the actress by the Karnataka State Industrial Area Development Board.

On March 3rd, Ranya was arrested at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport with gold worth 12 crore rupees. Since the actress’s arrest, numerous questions have arisen. Investigators suspect that Ranya is not involved alone in this gold smuggling racket; a larger “gang” operates behind the scenes! However, how Ranya was connected to this racket and the extent of their network are being carefully examined by intelligence agencies. The CBI is jointly investigating the gold smuggling case alongside the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI).
