Modi Wave to Hit Bengal this March! PM to Hold Mega Rallies in South Bengal; Dates Leaked

The political landscape of West Bengal is set to witness a seismic shift as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to kick-start his election campaign in the state later this March. To counter the aggressive campaigning by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the BJP high command has finalized a blueprint for the Prime Minister’s high-voltage rallies. According to party insiders, PM Modi will be focusing specifically on South Bengal, an area where the saffron party is looking to make deep inroads in the 2026 Assembly elections.

While the official schedule from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) is awaited, sources suggest that the visit is likely to take place on March 28 or 29. The Prime Minister is expected to address two massive gatherings—one in North 24 Parganas and another in the Hooghly district. These regions are strategically crucial due to the influential Matua community and the industrial belt, both of which are pivotal for swaying the election results in South Bengal.

The State BJP leadership has already swung into action, identifying potential venues and starting the groundwork for what they call “The Grand Homecoming.” A team from the Special Protection Group (SPG) is expected to arrive shortly to review the security protocols. As Mamata Banerjee intensifies her campaign across North Bengal and Jangalmahal, PM Modi’s arrival in late March is poised to turn the 2026 election into a neck-and-neck fight. All eyes are now on the Prime Minister’s speech, which is expected to set the tone for the BJP’s final push in Bengal.
