Medical Student Found Dead in Bhopal PG; Empty Acid Bottle Found Near Body, Police Probe On

In a tragic incident that has sent shockwaves through the medical community, a first-year MBBS student of Gandhi Medical College (GMC), Bhopal, was found dead under mysterious circumstances. The student, identified as Roshni, allegedly consumed acid in her PG bathroom in the Koh-e-Fiza area on Tuesday morning.
The Discovery: Roshni, a resident of Alirajpur, had joined the MBBS course just four months ago in October 2025. The alarm was raised when she failed to show up for her morning classes and did not respond to multiple phone calls from her classmates. Concerned, her friends alerted the PG security. Upon breaking open the bathroom door, they found Roshni lying unconscious with an empty bottle of acid beside her.
Medical and Police Response: She was rushed to the emergency department of Hamidia Hospital at approximately 8:30 AM, where doctors declared her brought dead. Preliminary reports suggest suicide, although the police are investigating whether academic pressure or personal reasons led to this extreme step. Roshni had recently returned from her hometown just a week ago. The police have registered a case and are currently examining her digital footprint and speaking to her peers to uncover the motive behind the tragedy.
