A heart-wrenching incident has emerged from Khapparpur village in the Mahavan police station area of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, where five members of a family were found dead. A couple along with their three minor children allegedly consumed milk laced with poison on Monday night.

Details of the Tragedy: The incident came to light on Tuesday morning when neighbors grew suspicious as the family did not wake up. Upon investigation, police discovered the bodies of the husband, wife, and their three children. Empty milk glasses were found near the bodies. The deceased have been identified as Manish, his wife Seema, and their three kids.

Police Investigation: According to preliminary police reports, the couple first administered poison to their three children through milk and then committed suicide by consuming the same. “We are collecting evidence from the spot and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem,” a police official stated. While the exact motive remains unknown, authorities are investigating angles of financial crisis and domestic disputes to understand why the family took such a drastic step.
