March Mayhem in Bengal! Left Front Candidates to Hit Streets Against ‘Vote Loot’, Salim Issues Stern Warning

As the election fever grips West Bengal, the Left Front has shifted into high gear with a massive call for agitation. CPIM State Secretary Mohammed Salim has announced a two-day statewide protest in March, aimed at safeguarding the democratic rights of voters and preventing any attempts at “vote looting” during the upcoming polls.

Addressing a press conference, Salim emphasized that all Left Front candidates across the state will personally lead these demonstrations. He alleged that a nexus between the ruling party and a section of the administration is attempting to intimidate voters even before the first ballot is cast. “Our candidates will be on the front lines to ensure that every citizen can vote without fear. We will not let democracy be hijacked,” Salim declared.

This move is seen as a strategic attempt by the Left to galvanize its grassroots workers and mount pressure on the Election Commission and the state police. The protests are scheduled to take place in both urban and rural pockets of Bengal, signaling a fierce electoral battle ahead. With the “March Movement,” the Left Front aims to reclaim its political space and position itself as the primary defender of electoral integrity in the state.
