Major Relief for Mamata in SIR Case! “Won’t Stop Even if Polls are Declared on 15th,” says CM

In a significant political development, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee expressed great relief and satisfaction following the Supreme Court’s recent observations on the SIR (Voter List Revision) case. Speaking at Nabanna on Tuesday, the Chief Minister termed the judicial stance as a validation of her government’s integrity. The ruling comes just days before the expected announcement of the Lok Sabha election dates.

Addressing the reporters, Mamata Banerjee said, “There are speculations that the election schedule might be announced on the 15th or 16th of March. Even if that happens, our commitment to a fair process remains unchanged.” She emphasized that the opposition’s attempt to stall or discredit the voter list through legal hurdles has failed. The CM’s confidence stems from the fact that the apex court has provided a clear roadmap, effectively silencing the “fake voter” narrative pushed by the opposition. As the state gears up for the polls, Mamata’s proactive stance aims to consolidate her voter base before the Model Code of Conduct kicks in.
