A tragic incident sparked by a triangular love affair has claimed the life of a 15-year-old schoolboy in Siliguri’s Matigara area. Shubhajit Modak, a Class 10 student who had been missing since Saturday, was found dead in the Chamta Tea Garden near Sukna Forest early Tuesday morning.

According to local sources, the victim and the 25-year-old accused, Raj Paswan, were both interested in the same girl, leading to frequent clashes. It is alleged that Raj lured Shubhajit out of his house on Saturday evening, after which the boy’s phone went switched off. While Raj has been absconding since the incident, police have detained one of his associates for questioning. The Matigara Police are investigating if the girl in question played any role in the conspiracy behind this cold-blooded murder.
