Lawkeeper or Predator? Mangalore Inspector Demands ₹25 Lakh and Sexual Favors to Release Husband

In a shocking breach of public trust, Inspector Sandesh P.G. of Mudabidri Police Station in Dakshina Kannada is facing grave allegations of sexual harassment and extortion. A woman has alleged that when she approached the officer to secure her husband’s release from a “false case,” the Inspector demanded ₹25 lakh and solicited sexual favors in return.
The victim revealed a terrifying conversation where the officer allegedly boasted about paying a ₹50 lakh bribe for his current posting, stating he needed to “recover his investment.” He reportedly threatened to label her husband a “rowdy sheeter” and ruin her reputation through drug peddlers if she refused his advances. The Inspector allegedly claimed that many other women had “cooperated” with him in similar ways previously.
The Karnataka State Women’s Commission has taken suo motu cognisance after a news report surfaced. The brave complainant has submitted a CD containing 250 audio and video clips to the State Home Minister and DGP. Shockingly, three other women have since come forward with similar allegations against the same officer. This case has ignited a massive public outcry over the safety of citizens when the protectors themselves turn into predators.
