The war of words between US President Donald Trump and Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is increasing. On the one hand, Trump is claiming to have destroyed Iran’s nuclear bases, while Khamenei is calling it a “false” and is adamant on continuing Iran’s nuclear program. Amidst this tension, Iran has accused the US of deliberately provoking war in the United Nations and demanded compensation for its losses, which has infuriated the US President.

The rhetoric between the two leaders has deepened the fear of war in the Arab region. Trump is constantly claiming that Iran’s nuclear bases have been destroyed and now it cannot make a nuclear bomb, while Iran is rejecting these claims and is adamant on continuing its uranium enrichment.
