Terrorism Not India’s Sole Problem, All-Party Delegation States in London

An all-party delegation from India has delivered a crucial message in London, warning the world against Pakistan-backed terrorism. Led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, the delegation emphasized the relevance of Mahatma Gandhi’s non-violent principles during their visit to Britain. The visit commenced with tributes paid to the statues of Mahatma Gandhi and B.R. Ambedkar in Tavistock Square, London.

At a gathering organized by the Indian High Commission, members of the delegation stated that what is happening in India today could happen in any country, calling for terrorism to be viewed seriously as an international problem. Vikram Doraiswami, India’s High Commissioner in London, also described terrorism as an international issue, stressing the need for global unity to combat it. The Indian delegation held meetings with British Shadow Foreign Secretary Priti Patel and members of the opposition Conservative Party. During these discussions, India’s new strategic policy to counter terrorism, particularly the role of ‘Operation Sindoor’, was explained. British Minister Catherine West assured India of full support against terrorism. Discussions also took place with various Indian groups from the Conservative and Labour parties, where they too pledged their support for India in its fight against terrorism.
