Travel in AC First Class at Sleeper Class Fare, Do You Know This Railway Rule?

IRCTC Update: According to a special rule of Indian Railways, you can travel in AC compartment by paying sleeper class fare. Find out how to get this facility.
Traveling in the first AC compartment of the train is undoubtedly the most luxurious and comfortable. Especially if you get a ‘coupe’, where only two passengers can stay, it can be an extraordinary experience.
However, since the fare of this compartment is the highest, the common man cannot take advantage of it. But a special rule of the railways gives you the opportunity to enjoy First AC at a lower fare.
If you or your wife do not have a confirmed ticket in First AC, but your wife or daughter has a ticket in First AC, or if your child under 12 years of age has a ticket in Second AC, then there is a special facility for you.
From 8 pm to 6 am, your child below the age of 12 can travel with his mother in the First AC compartment. Even the ticket inspector cannot deny this facility during this time.
So, the benefit of First AC can be availed even on low fare tickets. However, there is one more condition in this case. The condition is that this rule will be applicable only if both the passengers in the compartment are women.
Similarly, Indian Railways has a special rule for women coaches. Generally, men are not allowed to travel in women’s coaches. But if a woman is travelling in one coach and her son is in another coach, then the son can travel with his mother in the women’s coach from 8 pm to 6 am.
The condition for this is that the child should be below the age of 12. As per the railway rules, a child below the age of 12 can travel with his mother in the First AC or women’s coach at night.
This rule is useful for those families who want to keep their children safe and comfortable with their mothers at night. This not only provides convenience to the passengers but also gives them the opportunity to travel in better coaches at a lower fare.
Indian Railways has made these rules keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, so that the rail journey of the passengers is easy and safe.
