Baloch Rebels Seize Karachi National Highway in Pakistan

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a rebel organization in Balochistan, Pakistan, has carried out a major operation. This armed group has blockaded the Quetta-Karachi Highway, seizing control of the main National Highway. According to ‘The Balochistan Post,’ armed fighters attacked a Levies police station, taking over the building.

The attackers held police officials hostage and set the building on fire. They also torched police vehicles at the station and looted weapons.

Earlier, BLA fighters launched a major offensive in Soorab, occupying the town. Jiyand Baloch, a BLA spokesperson, stated that their commanders have established complete control over Soorab town. They have seized police stations, the DC office, guest houses, and banks, effectively paralyzing the administration. The series of operations in Balochistan indicates that Baloch rebels are continuously gaining strength, while the Pakistan Army’s control is weakening.

BLF Also Carries Out Attack

Another armed group in Balochistan, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), has claimed responsibility for an attack on Pakistani armed forces in Khuzdar Nal. Major Gwahram Baloch, a BLF spokesperson, stated in a press release that on Saturday, May 31, at approximately 11 AM, Baloch rebels attacked two members of the state’s peace force near the Pedich Hotel in Khuzdar Nal, killing both of them.

The BLF spokesperson warned all groups used by the state that they could be targeted. He also reported that Baloch rebels carried out an attack in Kharan town. On the same Saturday, gas pipelines in Dera Murad Jamali and Sui were attacked. However, there was no gas supply in the pipelines at the time of the attack. No organization has claimed responsibility for the gas pipeline attacks. Gas pipelines in this area have been targeted previously, with various organizations claiming responsibility.
