Digital Desk, New Delhi. Brooke Anderson, a 27-year-old teacher at Riverview High School in Florida, USA, has been arrested on charges of sexual relations with a minor student. According to information from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred just before the school day began.

Anderson is accused of maintaining a sexual relationship with the minor student for the past several months. Three counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor have been filed against her.

Anderson is alleged to have engaged in sexual relations with a student at Riverview High School on the morning of May 16, after which she was arrested. The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation after receiving allegations of an immoral relationship between a female teacher and a male student. The student stated that conversations between them and Anderson began in September 2024 through inappropriate text messages.

Teacher Dismissed

According to the Hillsborough County Public Schools directory of teachers, Anderson was a science teacher at Riverview High School, but her name has been removed from this directory after her arrest.

Online jail records indicate that three cases of unlawful sexual activity with a minor have been filed against her. The following day, a judge set her bail at $45,000, with a fine of $15,000 for each case. She was subsequently released.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office stated that the investigation is still ongoing and has appealed to the public that anyone who has been affected by this incident should come forward and contact the police. The school district acknowledged that Anderson had passed all necessary screenings and background checks before her employment. However, she has now been dismissed, and the process to terminate her services is underway.

‘Betrayed the Trust of the School’

Sheriff Chad Chronister said, “This teacher has betrayed the trust of a student, the school, and the entire community. She exploited a safe and supportive learning environment for immoral acts. Her crimes were premeditated and extremely disturbing.”
