Metro Mayhem: DMRC’s Savage Warning to Reel-Making Rebels!

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is fed up with the never-ending trend of commuters turning metro coaches into personal film sets. Despite strict rules implemented on March 13, 2023, prohibiting reels and videos, and even provisions for penalties, the DMRC finds itself in a continuous battle against content creators. The allure of likes and followers seems to be driving many to disregard their own safety, performing dangerous stunts for short-lived fame. The DMRC has been actively trying to curb this menace, even taking action against some individuals, but the trend shows no signs of slowing down. This prompted them to take to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, reiterating their stance that the metro is for travel, not for creating “trends.”
In a clear message to the reel-obsessed public, the DMRC emphasized, “Metro is for travel, not for reels… A smooth and safe journey matters more than a few seconds of fame.” They urged people not to create reels and to discourage others from doing so. Along with their posts, the DMRC shared impactful posters, one featuring a young man singing with a guitar, captioned, “Your performance deserves a bigger stage than the metro.” Another poster depicted a woman dancing with the witty line, “Dance like no one is watching, but just not in the metro.” These posters have also been strategically placed at various metro stations across the network, serving as a constant reminder to commuters to respect the rules and prioritize safety and convenience for all.
