CM Yogi’s Chopper Lands on WRONG Helipad – Major Security Scare in Kanpur!

A significant security lapse marred Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s recent visit to Kanpur, as his helicopter mistakenly landed on an unauthorized helipad. This alarming incident occurred during his review of preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit on May 30th. Sources indicate that multiple helipads within the same complex at CSA University ground led to confusion for the pilot. Five helipads were set up in total, with specific designations for the Prime Minister, Chief Minister, and other VIPs. Around 11:30 AM on Wednesday, CM Yogi’s helicopter, expected to land on helipad number four, instead touched down on helipad number two, where an Air Force landing trial was reportedly underway.

The misstep sent officials scrambling, as those gathered to welcome the Chief Minister at the designated helipad had to rush to the unexpected landing spot. While CM Yogi was formally welcomed, the incident has sparked widespread concern within the administration, with no official explanation for the error yet released. This isn’t the first time CM Yogi’s air travel has faced issues; a previous incident on April 20th saw his helicopter become unstable due to strong winds. Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Kanpur will involve inaugurating power plant and metro expansion projects, and CM Yogi was inspecting the public meeting venue at CSA Ground, issuing directives for meticulous traffic, cleanliness, and parking arrangements to ensure a smooth experience for attendees.
