A new challenger has emerged in India’s competitive premium hatchback segment, threatening the dominance of established players like the Hyundai i20 and Maruti Baleno. The 2025 Tata Altroz facelift, recently launched by Tata Motors, is now making its way to dealerships, with bookings set to commence from June 2nd. Despite the growing SUV craze, premium hatchbacks continue to enjoy strong demand in the Indian market, and the Altroz aims to capture a significant share with its refreshed design, enhanced features, and a variety of powertrain options. The 2025 Tata Altroz facelift comes with an ex-showroom price extending up to Rs 11.49 lakh for its top model. It offers a comprehensive range of engine options, including petrol, diesel, and a unique 2-cylinder CNG kit, making it the only premium hatchback in India to offer a diesel variant. Powertrains include a 1.2-liter petrol, a 1.5-liter diesel, and a 1.2-liter petrol-CNG engine. The exterior has received a fresh new look with 16-inch alloy wheels, redesigned headlamps, connected DRLs, and updated tail lights. The front grille, bumpers, and rear bumper have all been given a modern aesthetic, complemented by new cosmetic updates like flush door handles. Inside, the Altroz is packed with safety features, including 6 airbags, electronic stability program, and 3-point ELR with seat belt reminder. Convenience is prioritized with a smart digital steering wheel, remote keyless entry, 360-degree camera, all-door power windows, multi-drive modes, and idle start/stop. The infotainment system features two screens: a 10.25-inch unit and a digital instrument cluster with navigation map view. Additional creature comforts include wireless phone charging, climate control, cruise control, air purifier, rear AC vents, and extra thigh support, positioning the new Altroz as a compelling choice in its segment.
