The specter of a tsunami looms once again, as scientists reveal alarming information about an impending “mega tsunami.” This colossal wave is projected to strike multiple regions of America, including the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and the Hawaiian Islands, within the next fifty years. This catastrophic event is anticipated to be triggered by a powerful earthquake.

Frightening details have emerged from research conducted by geoscientists at Virginia Tech. Their findings indicate that the aforementioned American regions could experience an earthquake of increasing intensity, potentially reaching magnitude 8 on the Richter scale, within the next five decades. This seismic activity is likely to occur in coastal areas, potentially causing sea levels to rise by up to 6.5 meters.

The ensuing tsunami could devastate areas such as Cape Mendocino, California, and Vancouver Island, Canada. Significant damage is also feared in Northern California, Northern Oregon, and Southern Washington, with Alaska and the Hawaiian Islands also facing severe repercussions.
