Tata Brings ‘Altroz Facelift’ to Market with New Features and Striking Design

Tata Motors, one of India’s leading car manufacturers, is set to launch the new facelifted version of its popular hatchback, the Altroz. While Tata has released several vehicles since the beginning of the year, this new Altroz facelift is highly anticipated and will feature a host of advanced functionalities and a refreshed design.

Design and Exterior Changes

The new Altroz facelift will showcase a redesigned front grille, slimmer LED headlamps, and new DRLs (Daytime Running Lights). Its bumper has also been completely redesigned, giving the car a broader and more distinct appearance compared to the current model. In addition to new alloy wheels, it will now feature flush door handles, a significant addition in this segment. The rear will also see new tail-lamps and a completely redesigned bumper, lending the car a more modern look.

Interior Modifications and Features

No major changes in space or size are expected in the new model compared to the current Altroz. However, the interior decor has undergone significant transformation. It borrows its two-spoke steering wheel from the Nexon SUV, which includes a glossy black panel and an illuminated Tata logo in the center. This smart digital steering provides controls for cruise, audio, and phone calls. The Racer variant will feature a larger 10.25-inch digital driver display with multiple customization options, including map mirroring. The Altroz facelift includes flush-type door handles, similar to the Tata Curvv, with illumination instead of pull-type front door handles. At the rear, the car will retain the C-pillar-mounted door handles.

The tail-lights also boast an innovative touch. While the i20 uses a chrome strip to bridge the tail-lights, the upcoming Altroz goes a step further with an illuminated LED light bar that connects the lights and forms a ‘T’ motif.

Safety Enhancements

The car has also improved in terms of safety. It comes with advanced safety features, including six airbags, ESP, Hill Start Assist, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. A 360-degree camera and blind-view monitor will further enhance driving safety.

Engine and Performance

The engine options for the new Altroz are expected to remain the same as the current model. It will be the only premium hatchback to retain a diesel engine option. It will be available with a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol (88 PS), a 1.2-liter petrol + CNG (73.5 PS), and a 1.5-liter diesel (90 PS) engine. These engines will be paired with 5-speed manual and 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox options.

Colors and Availability

The Tata Altroz facelift will be available in a total of five colors: Pristine White, Pure Grey, Royal, Ember Glow, and Dune Glow. Among these, Ember Glow and Dune Glow are new additions. The Downtown Red color, available with the pre-facelift model, has been discontinued.

Overall, the new Tata Altroz facelift is entering the market as an attractive package, combining modern design, advanced technology, and enhanced safety features. It will compete with rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Hyundai i20.
