New Delhi: On Tuesday, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) unveiled the final results of the 2024 Civil Services Examination, with 1,009 candidates—725 men and 284 women—clearing the rigorous process. Selected for prestigious roles in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others, these candidates triumphed in an exam known for its 0.2% success rate, one of the toughest globally.

Among the success stories, Poorva Choudhary, who secured the 533rd rank, captured widespread attention when her achievement went viral on social media. A celebratory Instagram video posted by her sibling, Navya Saharan, amassed over 2 million views in hours. Featuring snapshots of Poorva, including one likely taken outside the UPSC building on her interview day, the video carried the playful text, “Cleared UPSC… while serving this face card!” Navya’s caption read, “Sibling goals? One cracked the toughest exam in the country. The other’s writing this caption!!!” The comments section overflowed with congratulations for Poorva’s feat.

Confirming her success on her own Instagram profile, Poorva shared a heartfelt post: “A little something happened today. A little flex—loaded with patience, sealed with gratitude, and blessed with countless prayers. The day was kind.” She tagged #UPSC and #UPSC2024. The preliminary exam, held on June 16, 2024, saw 9,92,599 applicants, with 5,83,213 appearing for the test. The three-stage process—prelims, mains, and interview—tested resilience and intellect.

Topper Shakti Dubey, speaking to the media, offered advice to aspirants: “Stay dedicated, but never let an exam outweigh your well-being.” Poorva’s journey, blending hard work with a vibrant social media presence, has inspired countless others.
