Airtel’s new initiative: Relief from spam calls, alerts in regional languages

Bharti Airtel has launched two new features for customers troubled by spam calls and SMS, keeping in mind their linguistic and security needs. The company’s AI-powered spam detection tool, which has identified 27.5 billion spam calls so far, will now give alerts to customers in ten regional languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Tamil. Also, it will identify spam coming from international numbers, which has increased by 12% in the last six months. This feature will be free and automatic for Android users.
Airtel Director Marketing Siddharth Sharma said, “Our team has designed these features keeping in mind customer feedback and India’s linguistic diversity.” This move is especially important when spammers are increasingly using international networks. Alerts in regional languages will be helpful for customers to understand and take quick action. The company plans to add more languages to this feature soon.
This initiative not only reflects technological innovation but also underlines Airtel’s commitment to improving customer experience. Experts believe that linguistic customization and monitoring of international spam can prove to be a game-changer in the telecom sector. This facility will be effective in protecting customers from digital fraud.
