Baba Bageshwar, who came on a 12-day tour to Maharashtra, surprised everyone by landing on the cricket field in Mumbai. Holding the bat and bowling in dhoti-kurta, he not only enjoyed the game, but also gave his team a spectacular victory by 9 wickets. Baba along with his security personnel and sevadars also participated in this informal match.

Two teams were formed in the match – on one side Maharashtra team, which included local police and resident sevadars, and on the other side Madhya Pradesh (MP) team, which included Baba Bageshwar, his Y category security personnel and sevadars from Madhya Pradesh. Both teams had 9 players each, and the match was scheduled for 6-6 overs.

Baba’s charm in dhoti-kurta

In the video, Dhirendra Shastri was seen playing cricket in traditional dhoti-kurta, which further highlights his simple style. The match started with the bowling of the MP team. Baba himself took the responsibility of the first over. He gave 9 runs, but also gave a strong start to his team by taking a wicket. Maharashtra team scored 48 runs in 6 overs and gave the MP team a target of 49 runs.

In response, Baba Bageshwar and sevadar Satyam Shukla opened for the MP team. Both of them put the team on the path to victory by making a partnership of 38 runs. After this, security personnel Deepesh Soni took charge of the field and ensured victory by 9 wickets on the fourth ball of the last over.
