New Delhi: The US Embassy in India has taken decisive action by canceling over 2,000 visa applications following the detection of fraudulent activities.

Christopher Elms, a spokesperson for the US Embassy in New Delhi, released a statement today emphasizing the embassy’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the visa application process. “Our consular team at the US Mission in India has identified criminal elements who scheduled approximately 2,000 visa appointments in violation of US scheduling policies,” Elms stated.

“We are immediately canceling these visa appointments and suspending the scheduling privileges of the accounts involved. We will continue our anti-fraud efforts. Our policy is zero tolerance for fraud,” he added.
