No Dog’s Head in Momos, This Animal’s Meat Was Found: Major Revelation in Investigation

A video from Mohali, Punjab, went viral a few days ago. It showed a severed animal head found in a house where momos and spring rolls were being made. As the video spread, various rumors started circulating.
It was believed that the meat belonged to a dog. A sample of the meat was sent for testing, and now the report has been released. According to the Animal Husbandry Department, it was not a dog but a goat’s severed head.
In reality, the outer skin of the animal’s meat was removed, making it difficult to identify whether it was a dog or some other animal. According to Mohali Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, a complaint was filed against the house, leading to an investigation. During the inspection, it was found that hygiene regulations were not being followed. Additionally, several food samples were taken, including a suspicious piece of meat.
What Did the Investigation Reveal?
The piece of meat was sent to veterinary experts for examination. According to the report, the piece weighed approximately half a kilogram and measured 10 inches in length and 6 inches in width. The investigation confirmed that the meat belonged to a goat, disproving the rumor that dog meat was being used in the house.
Violation of Hygiene Rules
Komal Mittal stated that severe hygiene violations were observed in the house. Samples of food and other materials found there were collected, some of which were sent for further testing. Due to breaches of sanitation rules, the health department team took action and destroyed several items on the spot.
Truth Revealed After Viral Video
The matter came to light when some local residents recorded a video of the factory and made it viral on social media. Following this, the health department took swift action and conducted a raid. After finding unhygienic conditions and suspicious meat samples, the administration took appropriate measures.
