Kalbaisakhi is coming in the middle of the week to provide relief from the scorching heat of Chaitra!
The Meteorological Office has said that there is a possibility of Kalbaisakhi in five districts of South Bengal next Thursday and Friday. Thunderstorms with lightning have also been predicted in North Bengal.
There are twin cyclones in Assam and Haryana. Twin axes are dominant. There is one axis from Chhattisgarh to Vidarbha. The other axis is in the coastal areas of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. On Wednesday, a new western storm is going to enter the hilly areas of northwestern India. And this Triphala is also likely to change the wind in Bengal. On Thursday-Friday, Kalbaisakhi is likely in Bankura, East and West Medinipur, Jhargram, Hooghly, Howrah and South 24 Parganas districts. The mercury is likely to drop by at least four to five degrees Celsius.
According to the Alipore Meteorological Department, Kalbaisakhi is predicted in five districts of South Bengal. Thunderstorms and hailstorms may occur along with rain. Gusty winds may reach 30 to 50 kilometers per hour. However, the possibility of rain is low right now. The disastrous situation will continue from Thursday to Sunday. However, there will be no change in the temperature on Tuesday and Wednesday. It will feel quite hot during the day, and discomfort will continue at night.
The minimum temperature in Kolkata on Tuesday was 25.8 degrees. The maximum temperature on Monday was 33.7 degrees. The amount of water vapor in the air or relative humidity was 48 to 91 percent. The day temperature was slightly below normal due to partly cloudy skies. However, there was no change in the night temperature.
