‘Hindus are oppressed’ in Bangladesh! Yunus Sarkar’s ‘red eyes’ at US intelligence chief’s comments, says ‘image is being damaged’

Dhaka: She is currently the US DNI or head of the intelligence department. She has spent most of her life in that country’s army. She has been given a new responsibility during Trump’s rule. Her name is Tulsi Gabbard. Although she seems to be of Indian origin when you hear her name, she is not Indian. Rather, she is an American citizen from the beginning. However, she is a Hindu.
And now the Hindus of Bangladesh have come to the fore of the American Hindu intelligence chief.
This US intelligence chief is on a visit to India. On Monday, he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. He even gave an interview to an all-India media outlet in the country. And there, Tulsi expressed her concern about the situation in Bangladesh and the minorities.
What exactly did she say? Tulsi said, ‘The Trump administration is very concerned about the persecution of religious minorities in Bangladesh. Especially the persecution of Hindus, Buddhists and Christians. America is eager to eliminate Islamic terrorism from the entire world.’
It is worth noting that the Yunus government is angry with the US intelligence chief’s comments about the country on the banks of the Padma. They issued a statement after Tulsi’s interview. The Yunus administration claimed that Tulsi’s allegations were ‘damaging and misleading the image of Bangladesh.’
Even in that statement, the Bangladeshi oversight government claimed, ‘It is true that Bangladesh has been attacked by extremists in various ways over the past few years. But we also want to remind you that we are also eager to fight that extremist terrorism. We have taken help from America. Such comments about Bangladesh are unfair and exaggerated.’
