This incident was seen in the Indian Premier League in 2019. Rajasthan Royals vs Chennai Super Kings match in Jaipur. Mahendra Singh Dhoni lost his temper after the umpire’s decision of a no-ball. Chennai needed 8 runs off the last three balls. Ben Stokes was bowled. The umpire called a no-ball. However, the umpire changed the decision shortly after. And that’s when Dhoni lost his temper. He went on the field in an uncharacteristic manner and argued with the umpire. For which he was fined 50 percent of his match fee.
At an event, Mandira Bedi asked Captain Cool if he had ever lost his temper. Dhoni said, “This has happened several times. One incident happened in an IPL match. I entered the field. Which was my big mistake. Apart from this, such mistakes have happened in several cases. Actually, such things happen during the game, in many cases it becomes difficult to prevent it. Actually, everyone enters the field with the aim of winning. That’s why this happens.”
