Due to not using it for a long time, dust and dirt accumulate inside or outside the AC. If you do not clean all of them, it is natural that the device will have difficulties while working.

1. First of all, you need to check the air filter of the AC. If dust accumulates in it, it must be cleaned. It may need to be replaced if it has been left for a long time. When you open the cover of the AC’s interior, the mesh-like parts at the very front are the filters. These can be easily removed and cleaned with soapy water. Many people do this work themselves.
2. The outside of the AC also needs to be cleaned. If dust accumulates in the compressor, the machine will experience additional pressure. It will also take longer to cool down. It can be washed from the outside with water.
3. However, professional people are needed to clean the AC very well. Although some work can be done by yourself, not everything can be done. Only they will be able to understand whether the parts inside the AC are in order or not, or whether any wires are loose somewhere.
4. The pipe through which the water of the AC comes out can also be filled with dust, dirt or moss. It can often be damaged by the sun and water. Check it before the heat arrives. It is better to wash and clean the dirty pipe once.
5. The AC can be operated after ‘servicing’ by a professional. However, if that is not the case, then first turn on the AC by pressing the button and turn on the ‘fan mode’. This will clean some of the dust and dirt inside. Turn on the cooling mode after 10 minutes.
